Dr. Deena Hinshaw said five cases have been linked to the camp, which is operated by Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. At her daily update, Alberta’s chief medical officer of health said 5,076 Albertans have recovered from the virus. Currently, 70 people are hospitalized with 11 in the ICU. Of the 4,072 tests conducted in the past 24 hours, only 62 cases of COVID-19 were recorded. Before Hinshaw’s update, Premier Jason Kenney announced the province will proceed with phase one of the relaunch plan Thursday with some exceptions in Calgary and Brooks. The breakdown of cases by region was: • Calgary zone: 4,375 • Edmonton zone: 512 • South zone: 1,170 • North zone: 227 • Central zone: 97 • Unknown: 26 |
