Strathmore pedestrian airlifted to Calgary hospital

A 13-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital in Calgary after he was struck by a pick-up truck and dragged for a short distance while crossing a street in Strathmore on Tuesday afternoon.
Around 3:30 p.m. the teen was crossing at the corner of Thomas Drive and Brent Blvd. in Strathmore when he was hit by a truck making a left hand turn from Brent Blvd.
The pedestrian was transported by STARS air ambulance to a hospital in Calgary in stable condition with unknown injuries following the incident.
The intersection was closed for several hours after the crash as Strathmore RCMP investigated the cause of the collision.
