Const. Dale Malbeuf was arrested and charged by the Edmonton Police Service at a residence in Edmonton. The charges come connection with allegations that he pointed a gun at a woman while at the residence on Tuesday. He has been charged with pointing a firearm and careless use of a firearm. Malbeuf has served with the RCMP for 12 years. He has now been suspended with pay, and an RCMP Code of Conduct has been ordered to investigate the allegations. He appeared in Edmonton Provincial Court on Wednesday, and was released on conditions. His next scheduled court appearance is on Jan. 6. Morse is located approximately 60 kilometres east of Swift Current. |
