Police said paramedics responded to a home where they found three victims suffering injuries as a result of a machete attack. Two of the victims were treated at hospital and released, while police said the other suffered significant trauma and remains in hospital in stable condition.

The male youth, who will not be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is facing multiple charges including attempted murder, three counts of aggravated assault, three counts of assault with a weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

He remains in custody awaiting his first court appearance.
