Police investigate homicide in Saddle Lake A 26-year-old man is dead after shots were fired into a home in a drive-by shooting in Saddle Lake, police said. St. Paul RCMP, the RCMP Edmonton Major Crimes Unit and the Forensic Identification Section are investigating after finding Chavez Boysis dead in a home in Saddle Lake around 3 a.m. on Thursday. A vehicle drove in the driveway of a home, suspects got out and fired shots at the house, Mounties say. Boysis was standing by the window in the home when one of the rounds hit him, according to the police. He was taken to a medical station where he was pronounced dead. The medical examiner in Edmonton confirmed Boysis died from a gunshot in an autopsy completed Friday. Mounties say they believe the shooting was targeted and not random. Police officers are currently conducting interviews and investigating. Persons with information are asked to call St. Paul RCMP at 780-645-8888.
